Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 30, 2026

This policy explains how LifeFork, operated by IonSail LLC ("LifeFork", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and shares consumer health data, and how you can exercise your rights over it. It is written to meet Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and Nevada's consumer health data law (NRS 603A.400–603A.550), and applies to consumer health data of Washington and Nevada residents and of anyone whose data we collect or process in those states. It supplements our general Privacy Policy.

In short: LifeFork turns routines you save — often about exercise, diet, and sleep — into a schedule. That content can be health data. We use it only to do what you ask, we don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and you can delete it from the app at any time.

1. Consumer health data we collect and why

"Consumer health data" means personal information that is linked or reasonably linkable to you and that identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health status. In LifeFork that can include the following. We collect each category only when you use the feature listed.

Category Examples Why we collect it and how it is used
Content you import A screenshot, text, link, or saved video you share to LifeFork describing a workout, diet, sleep, or other wellbeing routine To read the routine and turn it into a plan you can review. Sent for processing each time you tap Import or Regenerate. For a video: the text on screen (read on your device), up to 12 still frames, and the soundtrack of its first 3 minutes; the video file itself is not uploaded.
Pages you send from a computer The text and address of a web page you send with the LifeFork browser extension, such as a workout or a meal plan To bring the page to LifeFork on your phone, where it opens as an import. Held on our servers until your phone downloads it, then deleted.
Goals you describe "Help me run a 5K", "I want to sleep earlier" To generate a plan when you use Create Plan.
Questions about a step "Is there an easier version?", "What can I use instead of an oven?" To answer the question you ask about a step you are looking at, or to suggest ways to do a step of your own when you tap Suggestions for this step. Sent with the step, its plan and the conversation so far; the conversation is kept only on your device. Suggestions on steps of plans in our library are written ahead of time and send nothing of yours.
About You What you choose to write in Profile → About You, such as an injury, a sleep pattern, or dietary preferences To check a plan against your circumstances when you use Smart Fork.
Your plans and check-offs The steps of plans you start (for example meal times or exercises) and which steps you marked done on which day To show your schedule and progress. Kept on your device; stored on our servers only if you turn on Sync across devices, so your other devices can show them.
Plans you share by link The title, description, and steps of a plan you choose to share, such as a meal plan or a workout To show the plan to anyone you give the link to, so they can add it to their own LifeFork. Stored on our servers only after you choose Share by link and confirm; your check-offs and anything you write in a step are not included.

We do not collect data from Apple Health or other health apps, precise location, or biometric data. Calendar access, if you allow it, is used on your device only and is never uploaded. Screenshots you import are kept on your device as the plan's source; they are not synced. For a video, one frame is kept on your device as the plan's cover, and the video itself is not kept.

We do not use consumer health data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than those above. If we ever want to use it for a new purpose, we will ask for your consent first.

2. Where this data comes from

  • You, when you type it, import it, or check off steps in the app.
  • Content created by others that you choose to share with us, such as a social media post you saved and imported.

We do not buy consumer health data or obtain it from data brokers.

3. Consent

We collect the data in section 1 only when you ask LifeFork to do something that needs it — importing a post, generating a plan, running Smart Fork, asking about a step — and only to do that thing. Before the first of these, the app tells you what will be sent to our AI provider, Google's Gemini, and asks your permission; nothing is sent unless you allow it. You can withdraw it at any time in Profile → Settings → Use LifeFork's AI, and the app will ask again before sending anything.

Storing your plans and check-offs on our servers is off by default. It starts only when you turn on Sync across devices in Profile, which is your consent to that storage. You can withdraw it at any time by turning Sync off, which stops further uploads; deleting your account (see section 6) removes what is already stored.

Sharing a plan by link happens only when you choose Share by link on that plan and confirm. That is your consent to making that plan's copy available to anyone you give the link to. You can withdraw it at any time by choosing Stop sharing, which deletes the copy.

4. Who receives it

We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their own use. To run the service, the following companies process it on our behalf and under our instructions (as "processors"):

Processor What it does Data it receives
Cloudflare, Inc. Hosts our servers and database, and routes requests to our AI provider All categories in section 1 that leave your device
Google LLC (Gemini API) Reads imported content, generates or checks plans, and answers questions about a step Content you import, goals you describe, About You, the plan being checked, and questions about a step, at the moment you use those features

These processors may keep limited copies for a short time for security, abuse prevention, and reliability, under their agreements with us. They may not use your data for their own purposes, including to train their AI models.

Apple Inc. provides Sign in with Apple and App Store subscriptions; it does not receive your consumer health data from us.

A plan you share by link can be seen by anyone who has the link. We do not give it to anyone else, and we do not use it for any other purpose.

We may disclose data if required by law, such as a valid court order, and will tell you when the law allows.

5. How long we keep it

  • Imports, goals, About You, Smart Fork checks, questions about a step: sent to be processed when you use the feature; we do not keep a copy on our servers afterwards. One exception: so the same post is not processed twice, the plan produced from an import may be held in our processor Cloudflare's cache for up to 7 days. The cached copy is not linked to you or your account, and tapping Regenerate bypasses it.
  • Pages sent from a computer: deleted when your phone downloads them, or after 7 days if it never does.
  • Synced plans and check-offs: kept while Sync is on and your account exists.
  • Plans you share by link: kept until you stop sharing, delete the plan in the app, or delete your account, or until we remove it after a report.
  • Backups: our database keeps automatic recovery points for up to 30 days, so deleted data leaves backups within 30 days.

6. Your rights and how to use them

You have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we collect, share, or sell your consumer health data, and access it, including a list of all third parties and affiliates it was shared with or sold to and how to contact them (today there are none; see section 4).
  • Withdraw consent to collection and sharing.
  • Delete your consumer health data. We will also tell our processors to delete it.

How to make a request

  • Delete, fastest: in the app, go to Profile → Delete Account. Your account, synced plans, and check-offs are deleted from our servers immediately. Data on your device is removed when you delete the app.
  • Any request: email support@lifefork.app with the subject "Health Data Request", from the email address, Apple ID, or Google account linked to your account, and say what you would like us to do.

We verify requests by confirming they come from the email, Apple ID, or Google account linked to the account. If we cannot verify a request, we will tell you what we need. We respond within 45 days and may extend that once by another 45 days when reasonably necessary, telling you why. Requests are free up to twice in any 12-month period.

Appeals

If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject "Appeal". We will tell you in writing within 45 days what we did and why. If we deny your appeal, you may contact the Washington State Attorney General at www.atg.wa.gov/file-complaint or, if you live in Nevada, the Nevada Attorney General at ag.nv.gov/Complaints/File_Complaint.

7. What we don't do

  • We don't sell consumer health data.
  • We don't use it for targeted advertising.
  • We don't use geofences around places where health care is provided.
  • We don't collect data from Apple Health or other health apps.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how we collect, use, or share consumer health data, we will update this page and its effective date, and ask for your consent before any new purpose or new sharing takes effect.
